Pastor Wanted – Nechako Community Church (NCC)

Nechako Community Church (NCC) is a Christ-centered, community-focused church in Vanderhoof, BC. We are seeking a solo pastor to work with church elders in providing spiritual leadership and developing ministries. The pastor will oversee employees and volunteers, ensuring the church's mission is carried out.

We are looking for a pastor who leads by example with hospitality, service, and strong personal faith. The pastor will be accountable to the board of elders and maintain a balanced schedule with proper self-care, ensuring time for work, family, and personal growth.

Qualifications:

• Follower of Jesus Christ with a strong, growing faith.

• Minimum 3 years pastoral experience preferred.

• Formal training in pastoral education or theological seminary.

• Willing to pursue credentialing with the BC Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches (if not already credentialed).

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Experience in leading and developing leaders.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the elders to implement the church’s vision and mission.

• Preach and teach, providing spiritual direction through God’s word and prayer.

• Develop worship services and programs with others.

• Care for and disciple church members, encouraging baptism and gospel living.

• Lead outreach efforts to share the gospel within the community.

• Perform weddings, funerals, and counseling as needed.

• Foster relationships with the local Christian community.

• Maintain accountability with the BCMB and Canadian MB Conferences.

• Provide spiritual care and guidance to staff.

Salary: $55,000 - $80,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
