Finding Restoration From Rejection

But Esau ran to meet him and embraced him and fell on his neck and kissed him, and they wept.

(Genesis 33:4, ESV)

Regularly I encounter people who have faced the intense hurt of rejection. For some, it is within marriage, when a spouse is unfaithful in some way or leaves the marriage altogether. For others, it is the rejection and judgment of those we inwardly desire approval of - parents, pastors, employers. Then there is the hurt caused by the church … or when we cannot seem to fit in … or when we just do not seem to be enough.

As an Adult Discipleship Team, we have recognized this being reality for many of us. While a seminar does not fix our problems, we are hoping that this Restore Seminar will offer some guidance and healing for us. We have invited Lyndon Wall of Refresh Ministries to speak to us February 5&6, 2021. Our hope was to do this in person, but plans are being developed around a Zoom format; we will make adjustments as the time arises based upon current health order guidelines.

Lyndon will speak to the hurts and rejection we face, offering insight into the ministries of God within these experiences. While legitimizing what we are facing, we will also be strengthened so we can see beyond it - encountering God and His care within the struggle.

Please consider joining us in our seminar … to walk through your own sense of hurt or to more effectively come alongside another in their journey. Share the word - feel free to invite others, as we work to serve not only our church family but also our community and surrounding area.
