Sickness & Pulpit Swaps
“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”
(Hebrews 10:24–25, ESV)
Many have been sick over these last weeks; let us work to bring encouragement to them.
I want to express my appreciation to Calvin for stepping in for me Sunday morning; he stepped out of his comfort zone to serve me and our church family. Thank-you, Calvin!
One of our goals as NCC is to be an active participant within our community of Vanderhoof, which means reaching out in various capacities and partnering with the other churches to have a joint voice for Christ. This coming Sunday we are participating in a pulpit swap with Vanderhoof Christian Fellowship. The point of this is to express our unity, to build relationship with one another, and to share our strengths (so we both can benefit).
Pastor Peter Doerksen will be speaking at NCC this coming Sunday. He will be teaching on marriage, specifically on ways in which to serve our spouse in order to build them up and strengthen our marriage. This is a particular strength for Peter and Martha as they lead multiple marriage weekend workshops every year.
Please pray for me as I will be sharing out of our Leviticus series with VCF.
