Initiating Meaningful Connection
“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”
(Hebrews 10:24–25, ESV)
We considered these verses on Sunday. They are a call to action. Being confident in Christ and in our salvation, we are to deliberately intertwine our lives with one another. We are to be an encouragement to one another. We are to teach and motivate one another. We are to spur one another on in love, acts of service, and in our eternal hope.
While COVID has vastly limited our ability to gather, and while we continue to feel some limitations at a church-wide level, we have been given opportunity to gather freely in our homes. I encourage you to use this opportunity in the coming days and weeks. Get together with one another! Maybe even initiate making it more than just a visit; intentionally share what God has been showing you, pray with and for one another.
Starting this kind of group can be challenging, so maybe consider a RightNow Media video series. There are some new ones just released which we will be drawing attention to over our Facebook page.
What will you do to initiate meaningful connection with one another?
