Finding Restoration From Rejection

Regularly I encounter people who have faced the intense hurt of rejection. For some, it is within marriage, when a spouse is unfaithful in some way or leaves the marriage altogether. For others, it is the rejection and judgment of those we inwardly desire approval of - parents, pastors, employers. Then there is the hurt caused by the church … or when we cannot seem to fit in … or when we just do not seem to be enough.

Learning to Ponder

The picture of pondering given to us by Luke’s description of Mary is relatively the same. Her experience of the angel, of worshipping with Elizabeth, of travelling to Bethlehem with Joseph, and now of the visit in the stable of the shepherds, she is left marvelling at everything. So much did not make sense when considered from a human perspective, but she considered her God’s perspective!
